Team Info

Hello new and returning families!

Here is a little bit of information in regards to how the season goes-

Practice will start at the end of July, they will be from Monday through Thursday 6 to 8:30pm. After Jamboree (approx the end of Aug) practice will then go from Tuesday through Thursday 6 to 8pm.

*What is needed for practice?
Football: Cleats, athletic shorts, white integrated practice pants, mouth piece and a large gallon water bottle is suggested - it gets hot the first few weeks.
Cheer: Athletic shoes, T-shirt or tank top and athletic shorts NO spanks no sports bra for tops. They will receive practice wear (T-shirt and Tank or shorts) this will depend on shipments. Please send your athlete with a large gallon water bottle is suggested.

The season lasts from end of July through mid November.
Game Day Uniforms-
Football: Jr Vikings will supply helmet, shoulder pads, uniform and game day socks. Parents are responsible for cleats, mouth piece and water.
Cheer: Included in cheer cost is the cheer uniform, game day bow and shoes - Jr Vikings will supply poms - Parents are responsible for no show socks and water.

2024 Pleasant Valley Jr. Vikings Cheer

The Pleasant Valley Junior Vikings Board is thrilled to see your interest in joining the organization for our 2024 Football Season. Our organization is committed to providing a safe and fun environment where you can learn the game of football and build long lasting friendships. We see a wide range of skill levels participating in the program. It is our desire to see every player grow and flourish on the field while developing long lasting memories.

Our Junior Viking program participates in the Sacramento Youth Football Association (SYF). SYF consists of approximately 65 youth programs and 8 separate leagues throughout Northern California. We follow the guidelines in accordance with Association policies.

We have four divisions of play for league participants based on the age of your child. While there have been cases where children have played up in divisions, we reccommend participating with your age group.

The age groups:

8U Participant must be 7 or 8 years by August 1, 2024
10U Participant born between August 1, 2014 and July 31, 2015
12U Participant born between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2013
14U Participant born between August 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011

*If you participant is in 8th grade they are automatically on 14U.

Individuals that have participated in the program previously will receive priority for the upcoming season if registered prior to June 1st. We look forward to seeing on the field.
